Emily is ready to join you on your journey to optimal health and well-being with a trusting patient-provider partnership, to form a plan of care combining traditional medicine with a more holistic approach, and focusing on preventing disease while helping you get well, stay well and feel your very best.
Hormones affect many areas of your health including metabolism, sexual and reproductive function, weight gain, depression, anxiety, headaches, and sleeplessness. Emily, along with PrimeLife and partnering with SottoPelle bio-identical hormone therapy, can provide a safer, more efficacious hormone replacement therapy associated with less breast cancer and cardiovascular risk than its animal derived counterparts, with treatments based on your individual evaluation of all the endocrine hormones.
Emily also maintains medical staff privileges as an adult Hospitalist at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA, and has a special interest in acute care, geriatrics, women’s health, complimentary medicine, and hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
Emily lives in central Iowa, and lives with her husband and 4 children. When not caring for patients, she enjoys going to the gym, reading, and just relaxing at home with family.
