Melanie Plain is the Owner and Medical Director of PrimeLife, LLC, an Integrative Medicine and Educational Services Clinic based in Webster City, Iowa. PrimeLife encompasses 20 years of specialty training including integrative and functional medicine, exercise physiology, massage and nutritional therapies.

Melanie is an Advanced Practice Clinician with a solid history of medical excellence in both emergency and primary care settings and is one of the few clinicians in central Iowa specializing in bioidentical hormone therapy for both men and women. Melanie is a well-rounded provider and educator committed to helping you achieve overall wellness through functional and integrative medicine practices.

Melanie holds her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University and recently completed a two-year Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the distinguished University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine under the direction of Dr. Andrew Weil. She has also attended the Institute for Functional Medicine’s core training Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice September 2013.

Ms. Plain works in collaboration with Dr. Don Woodhouse of Advanced Family Medicine, Webster City, IA, where she provides primary care services.
