Hormone Replacement Therapy Kay Thatcher, MD, FACOG Claimed

Dr. Thatcher completed her medical school training at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and then specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She and her husband, also an OB/GYN physician, then moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where they opened a private practice named Sarpy County OBGYN, Sarpy Women’s Health, P.C. They have been in private practice for over 16 years. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been both a member and fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology for several years.

Recognizing the need to focus on the patient’s entire well-being, Dr. Thatcher became more interested in hormonal therapy as a means for improving the overall health of her patients. While some patients did well with conventional hormone replacement therapy, Dr. Thatcher noticed that many patients did not respond well to these types of hormones. She now focuses her practice on the gynecologic and surgical needs of her patients, hormone therapy both conventional and bio-identical, as well as weight loss.

Dr. Thatcher lives in La Vista, Nebraska, with her husband and three children. She enjoys spending time with her family as well as horseback riding and traveling. She maintains privileges at Methodist Hospital system, Bergan Mercy Medical Center, and Lakeside Hospital, all in Omaha, Nebraska.
