As a Nurse Practitioner in primary care I have found my true passion in Women’s Health, especially in treating Menopause and other hormonal imbalances providing Hormone Replacement Therapy. After seeing many friends and patient’s lives negatively affected due to hormonal balances I decided to try to make a difference. My philosophy is that those years when Menopause occurs should be some of the best years of a women’s life versus the worse. As women of menopausal age, most are in a position where we have achieved financially and professionally, have successfully raised families, know what they want in life, and now have an opportunity to renew spousal relationships and enjoy the fruits of their labor . . . and then the hormonal imbalances of menopause strike a devastating blow.

You can no longer sleep, sexual intercourse becomes uncomfortable even painful, uncontrollable mood swings begin, hot flashes occur (melting the make-up just applied, ruining the hair styling you just spent 20 minutes fixing, and soaking our clothes from the inside out). We are then told by our providers that we are now at risk for heart disease, osteoporosis, high cholesterol, and the dry skin and weight gain are just part of the aging process. The most devastating part of all is that our spouses and children just do not understand. Some women are fortunate in that he hot flashes and mood swings only last for a short time, but the other risks remain. Others suffer for years. None of this must happen and hormone replacement can help you take our life back
